On Oct. 23rd, the SIGEF 2014 awards ceremony, hosted by Horyou in Geneva, Switzerland, honored five personalities and organizations on the Horyou platform.

Another award presented at SIGEF 2014 was the Call for Projects. Twenty entrepreneurs shared their socially sound projects with SIGEF attendees. Two awards were granted. In first place, Beyond Beanie, a Bolivia-based clothing company that helps Bolivian children in need, won 8,000 Swiss francs toward the continuation of their project. The second award, chosen by the organization committee, went to Eaunergie, a project that provides local water solutions by reducing costs while generating job opportunities in Switzerland. It won 2,500 Swiss francs.

Thank you to all of the Members, Personalities and Organizations on the Horyou platform who give inspiration, motivation and awareness to their communities on a daily basis. We look forward to honoring more inventive and pioneering social awareness and solidarity at next year’s SIGEF 2015 awards.
